Job Description


The Assistant Channel & Category Development Manager is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of the activation plan that supports the objectives of our brands and the customer. They will support the lead in the development and execution of brand/category solutions & activities for Customer/Channels based on fully integrated, shopper, customer and channel insights. Develop and lead execution of fully integrated, shopper, customer and channel insights-based brand/category solutions and activities for customers/channels.

Main Accountabilities

  • Develop & translate customer & shopper insights into business building opportunities with specific customers/channels
  • Work with Key Account managers to ensure excellence in in-store activation and delivery of Business Plan
  • Develop strong relationships with Customer at marketing and activation level Customer input into Innovation program
  • Manage total trade investments (TTI)
  • Jointly Build account/channel specific Customer marketing plans to deliver category
  • /Brand objectives (CMP)
  • Integration of brand marketing plans with customer business planning Consolidate field plans
  • Ensure Brand standards/Brand DNA for channels are adhered to Lead execution of plans & activities including customized offerings Channel and Customer thought Leadership

Relevant Experience

  • 3-5 years’ experience in Field sales Experience in in brand and /or customer marketing is preferred

  • Category Thinking
  • Graduate (Post graduate qualification MBA-desirable)
