Your Impact
- Manage site contract execution, ensuring regional contracts are effectively managed and compliant with all relevant standards, aligning with regional and global procurement strategies and supporting the overall success of operations.
As Part Of Our Team, You Will
- Run the full lifecycle of site contracts, assist the Site Supply Chain Lead in executing category strategies by ensuring the appropriate contracts are in place for sourcing materials and services and liaise with procurement teams to ensure that contracts meet the strategic objectives set by the category management team.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with site suppliers, ensuring open communication, timely resolution of any contract-related or performance issues and favorable negotiations of any changes to contract terms.
- Ensure that all site contracts and procurement activities comply with legal, regulatory, and company policies, including health, safety, and environmental standards and assess and solve risks associated with contracts, including potential legal liabilities and performance issues.
- Deliver regular reports on contract status, performance, and compliance to team members, contributing to the development of regional procurement strategies by offering insights based on contract performance.
- Ensure all contractors are aware of and adhere to mine safety standards.
Your Training, Skills & Experience Checklist
Formal Qualification (including Professional Registrations):
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Building Technology, Civil Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
- Professional Membership, CILT, ASCM or MCIPS will be an advantage.
Experience
- 5 – 7 years of directly related procurement experience or equivalent combination of training and experience are necessary.
Mining Experience Preferred.
Additional Knowledge:
- Broad business knowledge and focus, ability to recognize issues, problems and capitalize on opportunities.
- Deep understanding of sourcing professional services, strategic sourcing, negotiations, and contracts administration and management for services and goods in oil & gas, mining or environmental and / or engineering industries.
- A strong understanding of the legal principles governing contracts, especially in procurement and supply chain contexts. Familiarity with procurement strategies, sourcing methods, and supply chain management processes within a corporate environment.
- Knowledge of industry-specific standards, regulations, and compliance requirements that may affect contract management (e.g., safety, environmental, or legal standards in mining).
- Understanding of budgeting, cost control, and financial aspects of contracts, including pricing and payment structures. Knowledge of how to evaluate vendor performance, handle disputes, and manage contractor relationships.
- Experience in sourcing professional services, strategic sourcing, negotiations, and contracts administration and management for services and goods in oil & gas, mining or environmental and / or engineering industries.
- Experience in contract management, procurement, or a similar role, preferably within a large corporate or industrial environment (mining, energy, construction, etc.).
- Knowledge of contract management software, SAP, Ellipse or equivalent enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is necessary.
- Proven experience in monitoring contractor performance, managing KPIs, and conducting contract audits or reviews.
