Job Description:

We are seeking experienced and motivated Administrators, Accountant or Accounts Clerks to join our team at a school in Kumasi.

1. Administrators:

The successful candidates will be responsible for providing administrative support to our school, ensuring the smooth running of its day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage student records and databases, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is maintained
• Process school admissions, enrolments, and transfers, liaising with parents and relevant external bodies as necessary
• Manage the school’s finances, including processing orders, invoices, and payments, and maintaining accurate records
• Support the delivery of HR activities, including maintaining staff records, processing payroll, and coordinating recruitment activities

Qualification Required & Experience

• Higher National Diploma or First Degree in Finance, Accounting, Management, Banking, Marketing and Statistics or Business related programmes, from a recognised tertiary institution
• Relevant experience in a school or education setting (Desired)
• Strong administrative and organisational skills, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with colleagues, students, and parents
• Good IT Skills
• Proficiency in MS Office, Database
• Experience in using Accounting Software is desirable but not essential as training be provided.

2. Accountants/ Accounts Clerks:

The successful candidates will be responsible for managing the financial operations of the school, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the school’s financial accounts, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
• Prepare financial reports and statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Manage the school’s budget, including monitoring and forecasting revenue and expenditure.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and guidelines, including tax and audit requirements.
• Work closely with the school’s leadership team to provide financial analysis and advice to support decision-making.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely and accurate processing of financial transactions.
• Monitor and manage the school’s cash flow, including preparing cash flow forecasts and managing bank accounts.

Qualification Required & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Accounting or related field.
• Experience working in a school or education setting in Ghana.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in financial accounting software and Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders.
• Able to influence Headteachers re solutions to budget or financial control issues
• Able to supervise and motivate staff
• A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in all financial matters.
