Job Description
We seek a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Officer to manage our financial transactions, ensure accurate accounting records, and provide support to the finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Transactions:
1. Process and record financial transactions (journal entries, invoices, payments).
2. Manage accounts payable and receivable.
3. Reconcile bank statements and ensure accurate records.
Accounting and Reporting:
1. Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records.
2. Prepare financial statements (balance sheet, income statement).
3. Analyze financial data and provide insights.
Compliance and Governance:
1. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and laws.
2. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection policies.
3. Implement internal controls and risk management procedures.
Support and Administration:
1. Provide support to the finance team.
2. Assist with budgeting and forecasting.
3. Maintain filing and documentation systems.
Skills and Qualifications:
Essential:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance.
2. Professional certification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
3. 2+ years of experience in accounting.
4. Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP, IFRS).
5. Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
Desirable:
1. Experience with financial analysis and reporting.
2. Knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
