Administrative Assistant (Finance & Investment)


  • The West Afria Trade Hub is one of three USAID-funded trade hub projects in Africa.
  • It works with private sector associations and regional govemmental entities to expand trade, increase investment, build institutional capacity, and improve the enabling environment Targeted value chains are livestock, cereals, cashew, shea, mango, and apparel.
  • The work takes place in 14 countries in West Africa.

Job Description

The West Africa Trade & Investment Hub seeks a motivated college graduate to join the Investment and Finance Team as an Administrative Assistant Under the overall guidance of the Investment and Finance lead, the Administrative Assistant will support the implementation of the Access to Finance programme and the promotion of.its outcomes and follow-up activities in West Africa.

Key responsibilities:
The Investment and Finance and Investment Administrative Assistant will handle a wide range of important duties:

  • Assist with monitoring and tracking ofTask Order applications and Deliverables
  • Assist with processing of deliverable payments
  • Assist with filing Finance & Administration documents
  • Assist with planning and organising meetings and events
  • Assist with data collection for periodic (quarterly and annual) reports and audits
  • Perform routine administrative tasks
  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned

Required Skills or Experience

  • Recent graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (Finance or Accounting option), Economics or other relevant discipline.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to determine priorities and meet multiple deadlines; Flexibility and a can-do approach to tasks and the ability to adapt to a changing and challenging environment;
  • Native or bilingual proficiency in written and spoken English and French.
  • Detail-oriented with good multi-tasking abilities
