Our client, an automobile company is looking for a well-organized and a proactive SPARE PART SUPERVISOR to support with their operations in Ghana.

 ROLE PROFILE

The Spare Parts Supervisor will be responsible for supplying Spare Parts and Accessories to retail and internal customers in a prompt and accurate manner.

 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage inventory based on demand and cost targets
  • Maintain stock at a level that enables internal servicing and repair departments to complete their work without delay
  • Maintain accurate records of parts replaced under warranty and details of faulty parts.
  • Sourcing quality parts at the right price is an important aspect of the job
  • Identify and evaluate suppliers who can offer replacement parts that match the quality of the originals
  • Set prices and discount levels and plan promotions to increase sales
  • Identify prospects for volume sales. Promote Sales of company products
  • Ability to establish and maintain good relationships with customers and to exceed their expectations
  • Maintain regular contact with major customers to build loyalty and ensure long-term revenue
  • Interface with Service Technicians and ensure their Parts and Accessories needs are being met.
  • Recommend related Parts and Accessories, which may be required for a job.
  • Supply cost of parts information on repair orders.
  • Update inventory control system and parts catalogue.
  • Notify team members when special parts or back-ordered parts are received.
  • Maintain cleanliness of Parts and Accessories Department and keep inventory neatly stacked and orderly.
  • Assist with attaining retail sales and profitability plans in Parts and Accessories.
  • Receive and process parts from distributors, check merchandise received against purchase invoice, and prepare product for showroom floor.
  • Maintain updated customer account and database details
  • Employee must do stock takes, oversee stock balance, sell parts, order parts from manufacturers and local market
  • Other Duties as assigned

EDUCATION

  • Degree or HND in Electrical/Mechanical engineering.
  • Experience in the automobile industry is an added advantage

EXPERIENCE

  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in aftersales service or a similar/related role

REQUIREMENTS

  •  Excellent command over English language
  • Good negotiating skills
  • Have knowledge of stock-control systems and effectively record and analyses the movement of parts
  • Ability to work with several customers at a time while maintaining individual customer satisfaction
  • Handle telephone transactions quickly and courteously.
  • Ability to get along with a broad customer base.
  • Must possess high level of communication skills using all methods (email, phone etc.)
  • Good sales abilities
  • Ability to work alone and with a team
  • Must be able to take initiatives
  • Must have good computer skills
  • Must have good communication skills
  • Must be trustworthy
  • Driver’s license is a plus
