Reports To: General Manager

Purpose of the Job 

  • Participate in defining overall business direction through identification and tapping profitable and quality business opportunities
  •  Launching new initiatives for Medium Enterprises within SME Banking , disbursing loans up to GHS 80,000.00

Key Accountabilities 

  • Conduct business analysis and disburse loans to Micro and SME
  • Lending
    • Acquire, grow and deepen SME Banking customer relationships through effective relationship management, with special focus on SME customers’ total business needs.
    • Identify and prioritize activities to maximize revenue contribution from the high potential customers of the region
  • Ensure product development, business development and market & competitor intelligence as needed
    • Grow the SME client base by proactively cross-selling products and/or services appropriate to SME Banking customers so as to maximize customer profitability.
    •  Participate in developing targets and providing performance monitoring mechanism for the overall Medium Enterprises Team within SME e.g. Sales Pipeline, Employee Productivity, Actual vs. target revenues by Unit, by RM etc.
  • Support maintaining the overall Micro/SME strategy document and keep it current at all times
  • Work on the SME Budgets and Business Plans as needed
  • Ensure portfolio gets a favorable rating from internal and external auditors
  • Achieve the annual targets

Required Skills or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Business Administration, Commerce, Marketing and related fields; MBA and accountancy/finance professional certificate will be an advantage.
  • At least 2 years of commercial banking experience with exposure in SME  lending/ Corporate Banking ;
  • Ability to develop business in a competitive market in a highly motivated manner.

  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills;
  • High sense of responsibility.
