A reputable savings & loans company Ltd invites applications from qualified, experienced and goal-oriented young individuals for the following position: Credit Administration Officer

Job Purpose

• To effectively discharge the credit pre-disbursement verification and disbursement function on transactions to mitigate credit and operational risks

Job Responsibilities

• Receive & Record Credit Approvals from credit analyses and processing and business units
• Verify that credit approvals are in line with laid down procedures
• Ensure timely & accurate communication of approved loan set-up and availment to Business Units
• Ensure that collateral/security details are up-to-date
• Analyse request for release of pledged collateral/securities upon full liquidation of facilities by customers
• Verify and track compliance with conditions precedents to drawdown on all approved credits
• Recommend loan set-up and availment of lines to chief risk officer upon confirmation of compliance with stipulated approval limits
• Liaise with Business Units on resolution of incomplete documentation or deferred documents on approved credits
• Render periodic reports on all approved credits
• Preparation of and timely circulation of management credit committee minutes and subsequent tracking of related matters
• collate & deliver credit papers to the company secretary for consideration by board of directors
• Timely and accurate dissemination of credit committee decisions through memo extracts
• Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor

Qualification Required & Experience

• A 1st Degree from a reputable institution in any discipline. A post graduate degree and professional certification will be an added advantage
• The job holder should have at least one-year work experience in similar role
• The ideal candidate should be numerate and proficient in Microsoft of Excel
• Knowledge of Portfolio, Collateral and records management is required
• Knowledge of risk control & governance as well as financial instruments is required
• Knowledge of BOG Prudential Guidelines
• Knowledge of core banking software (x100) is desired
• Appreciation of Impact of risk management lapses on the portfolio and company’s profit & loss
