Job description





Assist the HR Director to manage the staff job grading process and run Payroll on timely basis within KCL policies and rules.


Principal Accountabilities


  • Responsible for job analysis, evaluation and grading of staff including handling of reviews occasioned by staff grievance.


  • Maintain the standing job analysts and Job Evaluation committees and ensure their preparedness to undertake assignments as and when they arise.


  • Ensure that all staff job records are updated, reviewed on request by jobholders and re-analyzed and re-written every four to five years.


  • Responsible for maintenance of the personal records of staff in Timeware or in hard format ensuring they are up-to-date and easily retrievable.


  • Provide back stopping to the office of the Staff Manager to ensure that staff have access to personnel administrative services at all times.


Educational/Professional Background, Experience and Skills


  • HND or good first degree


  • 3 years post qualification experience in any HR specialist role would be a huge advantage.


  • Knowledge of job analysis and job evaluation will be an advantage


  • Knowledge of Compensation & Benefits will be an advantage


  • Experience of the workings of Organized Labour and Labour regulatory framework will be an advantage


  • Communicating, interpersonal, analytical, IT and negotiating skills.

  • No backlog of job grading complaints causing staff disaffection
  • Payroll done on time.
