  • Maintaining uptime and quality of the transmission network.
  • Monitored the transmission network, troubleshoot and resolved radio faults and alarms,
  • Deploy, implement traffic on transmission network,
  • Modify and upgrade links with respect to IUB congestion, packet loss and clearing of dip errors.
  • Support Field Team in the restoration of outages with respect to transmission.
  • Manage of fiber and microwave nodes at KMO and northern part of the country.
  • Supervise and manage fiber team with restoration fiber cut in the Ashanti, BA and Norther Region.
  • Perform Daily health checks on the all transmission mediums.

Requirements

  • Must attend all network transmission faults within the whole network 24X7
  • Maintain communication with team and management to ensure that work will be completed on schedule and in compliance with established practices.
  • Perform responsibilities as directed within determined time frames and with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Involves in Transmission enhancement for different existing projects/locations
  • Must have good troubleshooting skills for fiber and microwave Modems, loop testing
  • Must have and maintain a broad knowledge of state-of-the-art technology, equipment, and/or systems
  • Perform, or assist in taking parts inventory and order repair parts to ensure sufficient transmission parts for daily activities.
  • Assist in executing technical changes to support operational guidelines

Skills

  • BSc or HND in Electrical, Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering or equivalent.
  • Additional certification and Trainings related to Transmission Technology.
  • Strong Knowledge of a broad range of Telecommunications equipment.
  • Familiar with Huawei equipment i.e. Optix OSN 8800,7500,580,350.
  • Familiar with Ericsson Minilink equipment I;e. AMM 20p, 6p, 2p and OMS.
  • Familiar with Sagem link F, link A, ADR 155, ADR 2500 and ADR 10k.
  • Excellent multi-tasking skills.
